INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
The class is a hands-on approach to learning web page design. Handouts and lectures will help you to understand how to create and bring your own web site to life. The use of the Internet and Microsoft Office will be an important part of the class. Clear and concise instructions on how to use the Internet and the correct way to search for and find information will be taught. The use of all programs in Microsoft Office and Dreamweaver will be an invaluable part of the class as well.
At the end of this course, you will know...
- How to create your own web site.
- The correct way to browse for correct information on the Internet.

Required Materials
To successfully complete this course, you will need.
- A folder
- A notebook and/or loose-leaf
- The Web Design: Concepts and Best Practices Textbook
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
General Rules:
1) The computers are for class work, schoolwork and research ONLY!
2) There is NO VIDEO GAME PLAYING in the computer room. NO EXCEPTIONS!
3) You are dismissed from class by me, not when the bell rings.
4) Please check your computer and push in your chairs before you leave.
5) You are responsible for the computer that is assigned to you, check the computer when you enter the room and again before you leave. Report any problems to me immediately!
Grading Policies:
1) You will receive notes & quizzes for each chapter of the text book.
2) You will have a weekly or bi-weekly class project on the computer. Each project will lead towards creating a quality and working web site.
3) A final Exam & Final Web Site Project will be given at the end of the course.
4) Each quarter you will have 3 tests and 2 Web Site projects, in addition to various computer handouts as class work and/or homework assignments.
