Italian II Syllabus

Full year course

One Credit

Prerequisites: None

More complicated grammatical structures are introduced and there is extensive review of basic grammatical structures taught in level 1. The basic grammatical patterns taught in Italian 1 are reviewed and re-emphasized.

Homework is assigned every day and if the student is absent he can make it up within the next two days; it is the student’s responsibility to get information about the assignment by getting in touch with another student, e-mailing the teacher or checking with Guidance.

Homework is 10% of their final grade. Extra-help is available on Monday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and please contact the teacher to let her know you would like to participate.

Students have four major tests every quarter and if the student is absent the day prior to the test he will still take the test on the examination day because exams are announced the at least four days in advance. If he is absent the day of the test he will take the test the day he returns to school unless he was absent for several days.

Participation is very important in this course. The student must participate and be prepared for class at the sound of the second bell; he must have his textbook, notebook, and pen on his desk and if he forgets his material he will be warned firstly and then he will receive academic Detention.

Every time the student receives a zero on any test or grades, I will send it at home to have it signed by a parent or guardian.
