f)       Bad language, disruptive behavior, and a bad attitude will affect a student’s participation grade and result in detentions as well.

I POD’S OR MP3 PLAYERS:

a) I pods and mp3 players are aloud in class.

b) Keep your I pod or mp3 player at a low volume so necessary announcements can be heard.

Grading Policies:

1) Students are graded in four areas: homework, class participation, use of time, and a final project.

2) The key to success in this class is completion of homework assignments as well as diligent use of in-class time and participation in the learning environment. The final exam is a take-home project that the student will have approximately a week to work on.

3) For every day homework is late, ten points out of 100 total are deducted from the grade, which counts as a quiz grade.

4) If a student is late for class, he will be given a detention. Excessive lateness will affect the quantity of the student's contribution to the learning environment and will, as a result, affect his grade.
