Math Bb Syllabus

INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS

This class is dedicated to using mathematics in a practical way: how basic math can help us live our daily lives and succeed in business. Learning how to handle personnel finance like, balancing a checkbook and filing your taxes will be key components of this class.

At the end of this course, you will know...

  • How to handle all your personal finances.
  • The correct way to read and understand The Stock Market.

 

NEEDS AND RESOURCES

Required Materials

To successfully complete this course, you will need.

  • A folder
  • A notebook and/or loose-leaf
  • Scientific Calculator TI 83 or TI 84
  • Amsco Mathematics B Textbook

 


POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

General Rules:

 

1)       All class work and homework will be graded and must be handed in on time.

2)       You are dismissed from class by me, not when the bell rings.

 

Grading Policies:

 

1)       You will receive notes and a test for each chapter of the text book.

2)       You will have class work each day which is related to the lesson of that day, if that work is not finished it is homework and must be handed in the next class.

3)       A Mid-term & Final Exam will be given at the end of the semesters.

4)       Each quarter you will have 4 tests, numerous quizes and various handouts as class work and/or homework assignments.
