The course is based on a global, perspective of the world and human interarctions from 8000 BC to the present day, using the five themes outline in the AP World History Course Description consistently throughout the course. Students will refine their analytical abilities and critical thinking skills in order to undersatnd historical and geographical context, make conparisons across cultures, use documents and other primary sources and recognize and discuss different interpretations and historical frameworks. Course imposes a heavy reading and writing load throughout the year, and the demands on students are equivalent to a full-year introductory college course.
