Nomination Procedure

Introduction

Since 1994 Archbishop Stepinac High School has been inducting distinguished Alumni, Faculty and Staff Members of the Stepinac Community into their Hall of Fame. Over 75 Crusaders have been inducted over the years and the overwhelming theme has always been their love, dedication, service and generosity to school.

Committee Guidelines

 

The Hall of Fame Committee consists of; The School President, The Principal, The Foundation President, The Director of Institutional Advancement, The Coordinator of Special Events, The Director of Alumni Relations and members at large of the Alumni Association.

 

The Hall of Fame Committee is responsible for the planning and running of the event.

 

The Hall of Fame Committee will not exceed eleven members.

 

Term of Membership of the Hall of Fame Committee shall consist of one Hall of Fame Induction cycle (from nomination through selection to induction).

 

A letter of Inquiry to the Director of Institutional Advancement will suffice as application for membership on the Hall of Fame Committee.

 

The Hall of Fame Committee shall/may elect new members by vote of simple majority, provided a quorum is reached.

 

The Director of Institutional Advancement will act as chairman.

 

Two-thirds representation at a Hall of Fame Committee meeting constitutes a quorum.

 

Procedures

 

The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be scheduled in concert with Stepinac’s Annual Homecoming weekend and in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary Class Reunion.

 

Until further notice, The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be an annual event.

 

Nominations will open twelve months prior to the scheduled induction ceremony and will close without exception six months prior to the scheduled Induction ceremony.

 

A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 inductees will be inducted per year.

 

If nominated and merits induction, a member of the 50th Anniversary Class will be an automatic Inductee.

 


Nominations

 

Nominees Must be an alumnus of Stepinac or a faculty member of Stepinac with at least 10 years of service or a staff member of Stepinac with at least 15 years of service.

 

Nominations may be made by anyone and submitted to the Office of Institutional Advancement. Nominations must be submitted within the time frame defined above. Nominations must be submitted in written form and must contain the following information; Name, Class Year, Address, Employment Information, and a brief biographical sketch as to the inductee’s merits and qualifications.

 

Nominations may be held over for one year.

 

The Slate of Inductees will be announced in the Summer Stepinac News.
