New York Performance Summit
Stepinac alumnus and current University of Pennsylvania Track & Field 400m hurdler David Davitt will host the New York Performance Summit at Archbishop Stepinac High School on June 6.
The event will include two sessions: a morning session for middle school athletes and an afternoon session for high school athletes. The summit is designed to provide young track & field athletes with event-specific technical instruction, mentorship, and insight from experienced coaches and high-level athletes.
Each session will include a technical training clinic and workout, followed by a provided lunch and social/refuel period where athletes will have the opportunity to connect with their peers. The event will conclude with a guest speaker panel featuring current collegiate athletes and 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 400m hurdles, Derrick Adkins.
The New York Performance Summit is part of David’s fellowship project with The Team’s Engaged Athlete Fellowship and is completely nonprofit, with all revenue going back into the costs of hosting the event. The summit is hosted in partnership with Stepinac Track & Field and sponsored by Preferred Recruit, a high school track & field recruiting platform helping student-athletes better understand the collegiate recruiting process.
