Creative Writers Club

Moderator: Mr. Tim Kehayas

Contact: tkehayas@stepinac.org

Description: The Creative Writers Club offers an exciting opportunity for students with an interest in fiction to begin their creative journeys toward becoming fiction writers. With a focus on the short story form, students can create original characters, stories, and even new worlds as they hone their literary skills and broaden their minds. Members will learn what constitutes a short story and how to effectively critique and analyze prominent works. As a club, members will write and share their stories for peer review, focusing on discussion and editing, which in turn molds better writers. Working collaboratively with The Phoenix, Stepinac’s Literary Journal, members can submit their preferred works for both online and print publication. Our main goal in the Creative Writers Club is to give aspiring writers the chance to explore their own creativity, find their unique voice, and experience how colorfully literature shapes the world.
