Mock Trial Club

Description: Students engage in trial simulation competitions with teams from other schools in the New York State Bar Association’s Annual High School Mock Trial Tournament.  Given only the facts of the case, witness statements, and other evidence, students assume the roles of attorneys and witnesses and must develop their own case strategies and lines of questions.  The club usually starts in November and the competition begins in February/March.  This year, the competition will be held virtually instead of inside a courtroom.
