Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society

Description: Mu Alpha Theta is Archbishop Stepinac High School's chapter of Mathematics National Honors Society.  Members are required to have taken two years of high school math courses and have a final average of 90 or higher for their math classes. Students may join as associate members if they have not yet completed two years of high school math.  Meetings are bi-weekly and include participation in competitions against students all across the United States and even internationally.

Mu Alpha Theta:

Provides a method for schools to recognize and encourage students who enjoy and excel in mathematics.
Organizes a national convention for students and teachers to participate in math-related events and interact with others from across the country.
Rewards outstanding extracurricular achievement by offering special awards, scholarships, and grants to students and their faculty advisers.
