No. Your driving slot is fixed for the entire semester based on your original registration.

Yes! Lectures are flexible and offered seven times a week during fall and spring. You don’t need to notify anyone if you switch.

You must make up any missed lectures before receiving your completion certificate. Make-up sessions will be offered before the semester ends.

Notify your driving instructor as soon as possible and arrange a make-up driving session with them.

No. There are multiple ways to make up driving time. Please be patient and follow your instructor’s guidance.

We try to accommodate friend requests, but all switches must be mutually agreed upon during week 1 and approved by Mr. Moran.

No. NYS law requires students to be 16 by the first day of the semester. No exceptions.

Announcements are made during lectures and posted on Google Classroom and Instagram.

Yes. Students can request the 5-Hour certificate to schedule their road test before receiving the MV-285 certificate.

After completing 5 hours of classroom instruction.

No. The Course Completion Certificate (MV-285) replaces the MV-278, but you need the certificate to make a road test appointment.

Yes, if road conditions are hazardous, driving and/or lectures will be canceled.

Certificates are given out after the semester ends.

Yes. Orientation explains the program and answers common questions to help families.

No. The NYS Education Department requires all classes to be in-person, returning to pre-COVID guidelines.

The duration of each lecture varies, but the average is 80-minutes per lecture.

No. All students must participate in both driving and lecture portions per updated SED guidelines effective June 30, 2023.
